Laurens County School District 55 is proud to offer its families the opportunity to request a transfer to campuses outside of their attendance zones. The district believes that providing families with choices supports academic achievement by allowing parents to find the best educational environments for their children’s unique interests, learning styles, and needs.

 

Elementary and middle school parents who are seeking to transfer their children for the 2026-2027 school year should complete the “In-District Transfer Form” and return it to their children’s current schools or the District Office (301 Hillcrest Drive) by Friday, May 29, 2026. Board Policy JFABC (Transfer Students) specifically states, “unless otherwise specified at the time the transfer is initiated, all transfers will be good for one (1) academic year. Thereafter, a renewal application must be submitted annually… in order to maintain approved transfer status.”

 

Please understand that transfer availability is determined by current student enrollment, campus capacity, and staffing allocations to ensure that all Laurens County School District 55 schools maintain balanced and effective learning environments. The goal is to accommodate as many families as possible while maintaining the 5-star culture that defines Laurens County School District 55.
